Project Director Wayne Williams and his team at Eastern Indiana Works Region 6 are finding new ways to connect with their customers in the age of social distancing. His team developed the TeleCoach model, an innovative service delivery program that allows customers to connect virtually with a career coach. “If customers are tech-savvy and enabled, they can work with one of our employees without having ever to meet face-to-face. We can help them with everything from the initial assessment, enrollment, interview preparation, re-employment plan creation, or resume building. Whether you’re unable to visit a center or simply don’t want to, we can serve you,” he said.
The team utilizes Microsoft Bookings for appointment scheduling and a myriad of teleconferencing methods (whatever is most convenient for the job seekers) to connect. While Amazon Chime is their preferred go-to method, they also utilize Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams.
